Now, our first project “AKÜ is starting solidarity movement!” has been granted by our National Agency. We will welcome 4 volunteers from Italy, 2 volunteers from Bosnia and 2 volunteers from Jordan in 2021. Each volunteer can volunteer at our institution for 59 days, so it is a short-term volunteering opportunity. If you are residents of these countries, you can apply to be a volunteer at Afyon Kocatepe University.
We will provide:
- Travel Costs (up to the amount offered by national agencies)
- Accommodation (shared or single studio according to the budget)
- Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner (or food allowance)
- Health Insurance
- Pocket Money

Summary of the Project:
The main goal of our volunteers will be to inform university students about volunteering activities. The meeting of
volunteers and young people in our university with this program will actually create a common awareness in the concept of volunteering and solidarity and increase the desire to contribute in solidarity to the basic problems of humanity.
We aim to reach larger audiences by creating more awareness on issues such as integration of refugees, the integration of financially disadvantaged individuals into education, the maintenance and rehabilitation of street animals, sustainable environmental activities and public health, which are the main problems of our region and our country.
